Joyce Young

Joyce A. Young's watercolors express her love of beauty in all forms and themes. She especially enjoys the research involved to create her work.
Raised in Hutchinson, Minnesota, the art interest began as a child with her discovery of bird eggs and a series of J. J. Audubon cards in a neighbor's barn. She continued with colored pencils, collage and wood projects.
Joyce and her husband Les reside on ten acres southeast of Hutchinson where she operates Twin Birch Gallery and Studio. Since 1989, with watercolor as her focus, she has held solo art exhibitions in the United States, receiving many awards for her special depictions of local buildings and scenes.
